Little Will is turning a year old.  It's seems like it was just yesterday that his family came to the studio to have his newborn pictures done.  Needless to say...his party theme is Monkeys.  Mommy even had him a super cool shirt made to wear for the party.  Below, was his chance to try his hand at eating some cake.

Winter is always a time for me to think...since I can't be busy in the yard with my flowers, I plan what I want to do once the weather begins to warm.  My husband always says he can't wait for winter to be over but,  I kind of like the down time.  Our barn is the place of all action in the winter.  All the animals wait there for someone to come from the house to feed them.  It houses the mini horse we have named Jack (short for Jack-be-Little cause he is) and our new addition at Christmas Dallas a pig.  I think he was named for the cowboys but, since I really don't care for football I didn't even bother to ask.  It also is a hang out for the barn cat, Bubba and all the chickens that no longer like to stay in their coop.  Here are some images of the chickens and a  couple of Wrenn who happened to think it was so cool that she could pick up the layer of ice that had formed on the top of the water bucket.  As you can see she actually licked it.  I am afraid of what may have been it there but, my grandmother used to say that you have to eat a bushel of dirt before you die.  The image on top is Wrenn sitting on the stall door.  I was working on backlighting.  Trying to keep from over exposing to background while still lighting the subject.  Not perfect but, my hands got to cold and she was losing interest in sitting still.

NEW-On line viewing galleries.

I am slowly trying to improve my services for my customers.  There are always new things to do and try.  This year I have decided to add on line galleries to those services.  Although, I love meeting with my clients and looking at there finished images,  it's not always an easy thing to do.  Now the studio offers these on line galleries so that clients can view their images in their own homes and when they have time (since most clients are families this one is important).  Also, they can share the link with family and friends so they too can see their images.

My friend Cindy has persuaded me to try the whole 365 blog thing....of course,  I am going to do it once a week.  So,  I think that would make it a 52 blog thing.  I am not sure what the correct title they have given it so, I have titled it the "blog thing".  I went outside today and got a few shots of the goings on in the yard.  Here is what was going on today.  We have lots of animals here.  I can't really remember how we acquired all of them.  We started years ago when all of the girls were young.  They would want some new animal and their father would agree.  We have had just about anything you can think of..(with in reason)...rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, horses, pigs, (which we got a new one of those at Christmas), turkeys, dogs, sheep, and of course kitties.  Here are just a few of the Springer critters. The kids are included in that category.

New Blog Look

So....my great friend Cindy and I have spent the past two weeks working on a new logo and blog look for me.  Even though I adore my new look, I would have to say that the time I have spent with her and the laughter we have  shared has been the high point.

If images are the minds window to memories....then laughter is what makes the memories sweet!
