Guess who wouldn't go to sleep??  This baby girl was as wide eyed as can be.  Mom and Dad took turns trying to lull her to sleep but, she was having no parts of it.   Finally, she gave in and feel fast asleep.  What a sweet little thing.  Her Daddy adores her (Mommy does too) but, she is most definitely her Daddy's eyes.  Enjoy!

See how adorable she is when she is still.  She just doesn't stay that way for too long.  I told her that I wanted some really great shots to put on my blog.  This is my favorite.

It seems families are always so excited to have their photos done and then they see how much work it really can be.  Stand up...sit back down....move this ....now turn that way ...and all the while you have to keep on smiling (even when you have a wiggly 5 year old in your lap).   Today was no exception and everyone came through it with themselves still together.   My favorite would have to be this one below.  We actually got that five year old to sit still and smile.  Good job there my little wiggle worm.  Mommy, you did good too.  Enjoy!

We even ventured outside to grab a few shots.  It was a little breezy but, not horrible for the month.

DANCER

The job of a photographer can be a bit difficult at times.  You can see in your mind what you want to get but, the hard part is making the light, subject and camera all come together to capture the idea.  Ballet has been a part of my life since I was about five.  First, with myself and then my daughters.  I love the whole idea of it.  To watch the ballerinas and the music, the whole thing is just moving to me.  I had to chance to photograph this young dancer today.  Her father had an idea of what he wanted his image to look like (this from a man who does not dance) but, it was his baby girl and he wanted something special.  We got lots of wonderful shots in but, the one below brought her mother to tears.  I love to make people cry.  In a good way of course.  That's when I know I have done what was expected of me.  Enjoy!

Ariana and Michael

This couple was married just after Christmas.  We had lots of snow on the ground in my area and I was a little nervous to drive to the other side of the bridge to photograph their wedding but, knew that I had to get there some how.  It was a beautiful ceremony with tons of color.  Enjoy guys.

Tons of congratulations go out to the new Mar-Del Watermelon Queen Jordan Calloway of Mardela Springs.  She is seen here with the National Watermelon Queen, Jessica.  The convention was held this past weekend at the Hyatt in Cambridge Maryland.  Jordan is a sweet, sincere, wonderful young woman who is bound to make all members of the Mar-Del family extremely proud.

It may not be spring or summer when everyone gets twitterpated but, couples are getting engaged everywhere.  To many of them are my own daughters.  I have two others who are of that age and if any young men have any ideas in the next year...I am here to tell them to back off.  Below are Megan and Brandon who are getting married in July.  I can't wait for their wedding since the venue is one I love but, have never shot at before.   We had to do their session inside since mother nature is being a little silly with the snow.

Below is my second daughter and her fiance Josh.  He asked her in the snow storm just before the holidays.  Actually,  he made her go out in the snow to "show" her something. She had just finished up with work and was tired and it was SNOWING outside but, she went anyway.  And what a ring.  I have been married for over 25 years and still don't have anything like what she got.  I need to talk to someone about this.  Congrats to the two of them.  Can't wait for the big day!!

I photographed this family back before the holidays.  It was one of the last sessions I did.  I would venture to say it was one my hardest sessions ever...Not because of the family but, because there was a BUNCH of them.   Although my studio is a good size, I am not sure I was quite prepared for this gang.  It includes four generations all together.  I have known this family since I was a young girl and was excited to have the opportunity to capture them all together even if it did stretch my limited ability.   Here you go guys....Enjoy!
