The Cuddle Bugs

This weekend has been my weekend for couples.  It's wonderful to see couples who just adore each other.  Most couples have a hard time being themselves when there is an audience.  This couple had no problems.  From the first pose they were all about cuddling with each other.  I kept teasing them about being such cuddle bugs.  You can tell by watching them how wonderful they are to one another.   She is a giggle box and he loves to hear her laugh.  It's a little infectious.  She laughs and then we all start laughing.  I wish them both the best.  I will be photographing their wedding in the Spring of 2012.  Enjoy!

Miss Lambert

Miss Lambert has all kinds of personality.  She loves to plays with empty bottles with handles so that she can flip them in the air and chase them.  She's no silly dog either.  She knows exactly what she's doing and you can't fool her into doing anything she doesn't want to do.  We had fun watching her chase things and tried to hide her snacks for later.  Enjoy!!

Minnie Mouse

Little Minnie Mouse is getting ready to have her first birthday.  So today, Mommy, Daddy, and her Auntie all  came out to do her birthday shoot.  She is having her party with a Minnie Mouse theme so they had to dress her for the part.  She loves to be outside so we did the first part of her shoot out there.  What a happy little thing she was.  Enjoy!

Jen and Michael

Every couple has a love story and these two are no exception.  When Michael move in next door to Jen (who is a couple years younger) she and her friend used to spy on him.  Jen thought he was adorable.   When it came time for prom one year, her date canceled on her just days before.  Not to worry...God always has a plan.  She ended up asking Michael if he would like to take her and he agreed.  From that day on the rest is history.  She really was the girl next door.  We had a great time today wandering around and stopping at random places to take these photos.   Michael is still a bit worried that the farmer whose field we use was going to shoot us.  No harm done.  Promise.  Enjoy!

The Boys

Had to add a couple more images to the post from yesterday.  The little guy just below is the shy quiet brother and the brother farther down is the adventurous one.  Boy,  mama is gonna have her hands full in  a few more months.

Here they are...one more time.  Wow it's been nine months already.  Their grandmother  brought them an outfit from when their daddy was little.  So, of course, we had to take some shots.  We had to do them one at a time since there is only one outfit.  To add to the works they are getting very mobile.   I was trying to get them in the same sort of pose but, that was not happening.  Anyway, here they are with their daddy's outfit on.  Enjoy!

Yard Flowers II

Look! It finally bloomed.  I planted this wisteria about four years ago and have been waiting ever since for it to bloom.  I was working in the yard about a week ago and just happened to look up and... there they were these tiny little blooms.  I was so excited that I made my husband come out and take a look.  He was not as thrilled as I was.  He thought that "that thing needed to be cut back some."   I told him he would need a divorce lawyer if he even came close to "that thing".  I know that Jasper is not a yard flower but, he was looking so handsome sitting there that I just had to snap a shot of him too.  Enjoy!

Up, Up, and Away

No doubt about it, yesterday was a great day.  I had to work in the morning (the six days a week thing brings me down) but, after work I met my family at the strawberry festival held out at the Hen House.  That's a great little place just outside of town that has all kinds of great gift ideas and not to mention Wonderful Strawberries!!!  After we left there,  Wrenn and I stopped to watch the folks out at the airport jump out of planes!!! What are they thinking??  It is super neat to watch.  Enjoy!

Two Sisters

Today was such an unpredictable day.  When I got up this morning I thought it was going to be a rainy day.  My first session this morning was canceled because it was so overcast out.  Don't get me wrong,  I love overcast days.  Everything looks brighter to me.  The colors are not washed out by the sun.  My afternoon session has been planned for about a month or so now and they were traveling a little more than a hour to get here so I really didn't want to have to postpone them if at all possible.  The day was wonderful and so were these two sisters.  They are adorable no doubt but, they were so much fun to work with.  They enjoyed themselves too visiting with all of our animals.  That actually helped the little one warm up a bit since she just loves animals.  Here a just a few to look at.  We got so many today that I had a hard time limiting myself.   Enjoy!

Williamsburg

I would have to say that  Colonial Williamsburg is one of my favorite places to visit.  It's just far enough away from home that I can't work and close enough so that you don't have to drive forever.  If you have never visited there before,  I think it's a photographers dream.  The gardens are almost always blooming with something.  There are all kinds of farm animals all set in such wonderful settings.  We use to try to go visit each Spring but, since we had a wedding going on early this Spring,  we had to put it off for a few weeks.  Boy,  did I need it.  I always look forward to going and count down the days.  When it finally gets here it just seems to fly by.  This time, three of our daughters went with us.  I don't feel as though they share my passion.  Of course,  I walk around with my camera ready at all times.  (My husband claims that I stop on average about  every 3 feet to take a picture)  He's so dramatic.  I am sure I don't stop that often.  Wrenn, the youngest daughter actually likes to dress in colonial clothes.  She likes feeling as though she belongs.  This time she had the chance to help the farmer at the Great Hopes Plantation replant some of his corn.  What was suppose to be a few minutes turned out to be about an hour.  She would't stop until the field was done.   So here are just a few of images I captured.  Enjoy!

Laurel Youth Cheer Starz

Meet the newly formed Laurel Youth Cheer Starz.  Despite the threat  of rain for most of the afternoon the new teammates came together with their families the get to know one another.  The program is designed to not only give the girls a chance to compete at something they love but, also to help them develop as people.  Through the leadership of Marie Gordy, and never failing line up of helpers, the group was founded.  As you can see there are girls of all ages, shapes and sizes.  The only requirement is that you be willing to work together and.....come when Miss Marie does her famous whistles.   The girls enjoyed a picnic lunch cooked by some of the Dads  (that's right ...even the Dads join in on this).   Then afterwards they had time to play games were the girls had to use the wits and work as a team.  They even had an Easter egg hunt with a little trusting thrown in for good measure.  There is no way that I would let someone blind fold me and then led me around and give me verbal directions on how to locate an egg.  NO WAY!   The day was great and I think the girls are looking forward to working hard the make their group a team.  Enjoy!
