My Little Sack of Sugar

Here's just one more of our new "little sack of sugar".  I asked Erika if I could just keep her but,  they won't let me.  I don't understand!!  She loves me I can tell.  Look at that smile on her face!  It's great being a grandmother.  Enjoy!

My daughter, Erika came today and was talking to me about my blog.  I didn't even think my girls looked at my blog but, apparently they do.  She giggled and said "Mom, do you ever proof read what you write?" I told her that I try to but, not always.  She pointed out some of the errors (in a nice way).  I am writing this post to let all of you know that I am not a complete idiot....although there are those who would argue that point but, most of the time it is way to late at night when I try to do this and after working a full time job and running the youngest where ever she may need to be and trying to fit in a shoot here and there....I'm beat.  So when I write things that don't make sense or are spelled wring  (haha)  it's because I am running on way to little sleep.  It's probably best just to look at the images and forget the writing.  Enjoy!

Adorable Baby A

I love it when babies smile.  Some say they have no idea what they are doing when they do it so young but,  I love it anyway.  This little gal was so wonderful today.  It poured just before she and her family were to arrive for their session. Being a nature light photographer ...to many clouds are no good.  I have a huge window in the front of the studio that I use as a light source but, when the cloud cover is to thick it just won't work.  Needless to say it was a quick shower because by the time they got here the sun was back out.  Enjoy!

Baby A

I have a new grand baby!!  I can't tell you how excited we are with the new addition to the family.  Lots of people keep saying they hear there is a new Springer girl.  Nope not this time....I think her daddy would be upset if she was a Springer.  This is a little baby Harper and her mommy and daddy couldn't be more proud.   She weighed in at 6 pounds and an ounce and 20 inches long AND...she has hair.  Now all of those things combined shows that she is not a Springer baby.  We don't have them with hair nor usually that long.   She is absolutely adorable and I could just sit and look at her for hours.  So needless to say I am a bit behind on my edits and I apologize to all of those who are waiting on me but,  I promise I am making myself get back into the grove of things and it won't be long that I will catch up.  Enjoy!

Ben Barron

Ben is another one of Sussex Tech's football players.  It seems the weather this fall just won't give us a good dry day.  I love the clouds but, the rain could hold off until night for me.  I drug Ben and his mom all over.  He was dead tired (and a little bruised)  from the game last night but, didn't complain.  He's a great person and I had fun getting to know he and his mom.  Enjoy!

Tech Vs. Laurel 2011

I am a girl mom.  I do girl things  (for the most part).  Tonight I tried something that was totally out of my  normal photography range.  That being said ... don't judge.  I have done several seniors from tech and gotten to know them fairly well.  I decided to try a get some shots of the football team.  Now I don't claim to know a whole lot about the sport.  I certainly don't watch it on TV and I can't say that I have been to a game since our forth daughter graduated.  Even when I did attend,  it was to watch one of our girls cheer.  These are some of my favorites.  It's hard to shoot from behind the fence with people on both sides of you and the player, coaches, and sign holders moving in front of you.  Not to mention your narrowed field of vision through the lens and not knowing where that darn ball is.  I did my best.  You can view them all at gingerspringerphotography.smugmug.com.  Enjoy!

Ashley and Matt-Delaware Wedding Photographer

Ashley and Matt were married this past weekend on the most loved 9-10-11.  It was a beautiful day to be married.  I am still editing their one thousand plus images but, when I saw this one I had to take the time to post it.  I was trying something new and after I pretty much rearranged the room ....this is what I ended with.  I think it's wonderful of her.  I will post more in a few days but, for now...Enjoy!

Jenna and Greg-Delaware Wedding Photographer

Jenna and Greg are getting married in just a little under a month.  He's a farmer and she's a teacher and they make me laugh when they are together.  His mother said they would get married when they were just kids.  The families have been friend for years.  Being kids, they both were thinking I am not marry him/her.  Well,  someone had other plans.  I can't wait to be a part of their big day.  Just hope I can keep  it together while they are taking their vows.  I can only guess what will come out from these two.  Enjoy!

Baby E- New Born Photographer

Sweet baby E is as bright eyed as they come.  At only 6 weeks she was smiling away at me.  We started her new born session today but, called it a day when she would have no more of it.  I told her mommy that it happens often.  They would rather not be bothered with having their pictures done.  We will give it another go in about a week.  Can't wait.  She's a cutie.  Enjoy!

Megan James-Delaware Senior Photographer

This is Megan.  She's a farmer girl at heart.  She is just as comfortable driving a tractor as most girls are with driving their cars.  And as for that, she has a truck...with a sticker in the back window that says "Go play in the dirt".   She can go from girlie girl to farm girl in the blink of an eye.  And she wears both of them well.  The tractor below once belonged to her father's grandfather.   It's the only one she'll drive that isn't green!!!  Enjoy!

Banks Family

This is just a few shots from the Banks family's shoot today.  They have the most adorable kids.  The sun was so bright that we had to keep moving around the yard but, I think we got some good ones.  Thanks for hanging in there with me.  Enjoy!

Zack - Senior Photographer

I always say that one of the pluses about being a photographer is that I get to meet lots of people.   This weekend has been a busy weekend with all types of sessions.  Yesterday was a wedding, this morning a family session, then Zack, and afterwards an engagement session.  It was a long weekend but, Zack keep me laughing most of the time we were doing his session.  I had to stop and put down the camera until I could get myself together.  He talks almost as much as I do and that's saying something.   So it took a bit longer to get through it.  It was good fun and we came away with some good shots.  Enjoy!

Wrenn- Child Photographer

I had to put on one more from the fun day on Monday.  I fell in love with this one.  Can you tell I love the profile images??  There's just something about them that I can't get enough of.  I don't do them much as a rule in my shoots only because I am not sure that everyone else shares my passion.  I like it when the subject doesn't look directly at the lens.  Enjoy!

Dustin-Delaware Senior Photographer

Dustin is a senior at Seaford High.  So far, it's been a breezy, wet September and it makes it hard to do photo shoots outside.   I would have to say he has been the easiest guy I have photographed to date.  He was good with anything I suggested and never complained about having to move this leg here or that arm there. ...he just smiled and said ok.  He comes from a rather large family and I think having lots of brothers and sisters just make better at going with the flow.  Enjoy!
