Baby S-Newborn Photographer

It took a little while for this wee girl to finally fall asleep.  We got in a few before she decided to take a nap.  I love the cheeks.  Enjoy!

Farmer Children-Delaware Child Photographer

I knew the minute I started this shoot that it could be a great day.  Some days are just meant to be wonderful.  I had such a great time with this little girl and her big brother.  She wasn't sure at first if she wanted me taking her picture but,  I can be such a silly photographer that they usually figure I am safe.  I can't wait to get into the rest of them to share on here.  This is just a quick on because I couldn't wait.  More to come.  Enjoy!

Cara Byrd-Maryland Senior Photographer

This is just a quick one (have to go pick up Wrenn from Nutcracker rehearsals)  but,  there are more to follow.  This is Cara,  a budding photographer  herself.  She was so easy to work with since she already knew what to look for and to avoid when photographing someone.  She doesn't like her serious look (sorry Cara but,  I loved this one).  Promise to post more on here later this evening.  Enjoy!

Streeks Family

I don't know if it's just that I'm getting older (don't say it) or if the kids are getting faster but,  the last name of this family is surly a fitting one.  Talk about fast!  This little guy and his sister came with mom and dad for a session a little bit back.  Now mom and dad aren't so fast but, boy can their little guy move.  He was even up and over the fence in our pasture before you could blink.  I did get in a few good shots before he was up and gone again.  Little sister was very content to just look at me.  I hope for the parents sake that she doesn't take after brother.  I enjoyed every very fast moment with them.  Enjoy!

Adkins Family

Sometimes,  when you are two,  you don't want to have your picture taken.  Even if it's what mommy wants and is so excited about.  We have had some great days this fall.  Today was one of them.  However,  when I did this families session, that was not the case.  It was cold and breezy and little man was not in the mood for any foolishness like picture taking (besides..he didn't feel good either).  Mom and Dad both have crazy schedules so it was very hard for us to even find a day that would suit us all so there really was no turning back once the day was set.  Little man was happy as long as I was not trying to get him to smile and he was in dad's arms.  Here are a couple that show just how cute he is.  Enjoy!

Demarest Family

My family and I just returned from a very much needed long weekend away.  There has been so much going on (good things mostly)  in our family that I needed to just stop everything and take some time.  Now, of course,  I am back in high gear trying to get everything done for all those people who are counting on me.  This is the Demarest Family.  At least part of them.  It's a family of three sons (poor mom).  I can't imagine that growing up.   Not the five girls are probably any easier ...just different.   They came with the whole family to get in some family photos.  What a handsome bunch and so much fun to work with.  The brothers were kidding around the whole time and everyone did their part to help the session go smoothly.  Thanks for that.  Enjoy!

Rainbow

Wow!  Did it pour yesterday.  I had to take my youngest to A.I. DuPont  for a follow up.  We had planned to make a day of it and visit Longwood Gardens while we were up that way.  Since by the time we got there and had her appointment, drove the 2 hours back,  stopped and got something to eat,  most of the school day would be over anyway.  Besides,  I feel that the gardens are a great cultural experience and with the super tight school budget these days field trips just aren't what they use to be.  Anyhow,  since it rained on and off most of the day,  we decided not to try to visit Longwood but, plan on going back after the Christmas decorations are in place.  For those of you who follow my blog (and I am learning more and more all the time that there are several of you-thanks by the way) if you haven't gone to visit Longwood by all means make the time.  It's a site to behold.  I was hoping to have images to post today but,  instead I give you lemonade!  You know when life gives you lemons----make lemonade.  Really it wasn't a total loss yesterday.  I got to watch Wrenn do her take on most of the Nutcracker parts she knew in our little exam room while we waited for the doctor to come in.  I think I could dance most of them myself from watching her so much.  Plus,  I got to spend the day with her.  I hope this post brings a little sunshine to your day.  Enjoy!

Happy Holiday Baby

This little bundle is ready and waiting for Santa.  She was so happy today.  Grammie had brought her a reindeer with a bell and she just laughed and laughed at it.  We were all cracking up at her over this reindeer.   Here is just a quick one since I know Grammie is waiting for a peek.  Enjoy!

Trey-Deaware Senior Photographer

Trey was no different than most senior guys I photograph.   They figure just go and endure for an hour or so and it will be all over.  It didn't help that his mom, sister, and friend ( that happened to be a girl) came along.  They all stood behind me and gave him direction and teased him just a bit.  Somehow,  I think it may have been a little pay back involved.  I've known Trey's family since he was just a little guy.   My daughter and his sister were close friends growing up.  I seems so strange to see him all grown up.  Kids have a way of doing that.  Enjoy!

Ava-Delaware Child Photographer

This is the third time in just a year that I have been able to work with this little lady.  As you can see,  there is no shortage of personality.  I never know exactly what I will get when she comes.  I only know that I will have to control myself to get the shot.  She had us in stitches with her antics.  In the one image on the bottom left....she may look like she's unhappy but,  she is showing us the face that the GRINCH makes.  It took me a while to make this collection of faces but,  I had to share just what a little glimpse of what I get to enjoy at times.  Enjoy!

Duncan Family-Maryland Family Photographer

This is just one quick post from this families shoot today because I am beat but,  I love this one.  This is the kind of photo I love of my own girls.  The kind where the eyes are so deep.  Kelsey has the most amazing eyes to begin with but,  in this picture you can see just how beautiful they are.  I will post more tomorrow...promise.  Enjoy!

Ringer Family-Maryland Family Photographer

I have said it before and I'll say it again...my photography has brought some amazing people into my life and I thank God everyday for allowing me to do something I love and for bringing these amazing people to me.  The Ringer's are one of those families.  They have such beautiful little children and I adore spending time with them.  Normally,  I save the coldest, windiest day for my own children.  (Not on purpose of course)  This year that honor went out to the Ringer's (sorry guys).   We spent most of our time trying to keep the little ones from freezing and taking quick shoots when they were warmed up.  I have to say that they were troopers.   They would smile and then once I finished up their little teeth were chattering.  Again...here are my favs.  Enjoy!

Maggie Durig-Delaware Senior Photographer

Maggie is her own girl.  Very at ease with herself.  She made my job extra easy.  She was so relaxed during our whole shoot.  Normally,  I have to make seniors at ease before they will relax enough to just let it happen.  Not with her.   From the start she was so easy to work with and I enjoyed finding some new areas to work with.  She and her mom introduced me to some new shooting spots today.  Yay.  I love finding new places.  Can't wait to get busy working on the rest but,  here are my favs.  Enjoy!

Arnell Puckham-Delaware Senior Photographer

I love it when I get Seniors who seem excited about their senior sessions.  This young man called me and set up his session for himself.  I knew it would be easy.  He came well prepared and was a breeze to work with.  I had a great time with him and his mom as we worked on his session.  I was a beautiful day.  Here are a few of my favorites.  Enjoy!

My Daughter's Wedding

Everyone keeps asking about the images I took the day of my daughters wedding.  I did take some but,  I had a very capable photographer/friend do all the hard work.  If you would like to view her images....you can head on over to Cynthiagaylephotography.com and see for yourself.   It was an absolutely beautiful day and her images are worth a thousand words.  And if you read my blog on a regular basis you will know that it's better to see the images than it is to read my words.  Enjoy!

Julia Tobin-Senior Photographer

Julia has that wonderful girl next door look with a whole lot of class.  She has the natural beauty that most of us long for.  This was the second time I worked with Julia on her senior pictures.  She was on of my sunflower girls.  This time she wanted a fall look.  I was so excited when I saw what she had brought to wear.  She has amazing taste.  Very classic and I loved it.  I couldn't wait to get back and work on them.  It took a couple of days but,  here they are.  These are my two favorites.  Enjoy!

Stacie and Mario

I had so much fun with this couple.  She is nice and quiet and he is a total goof ball.   I know I always say that I have fun when I post on my blog but, I really do mean it.  I have so much fun getting to know the people I photograph.  This day was a hoot.  The entire time I was photographing,  Mario would make faces at the camera.  I love it.  We had such a hard time trying to get this session done since every time we would book it the weather would not cooperate.  Even on this day it was spitting rain all morning and as I drove to meet them it was still a little mooshie out.  Stacie was calling me on the phone saying that rain was heading our way.  I told her we would be fine...and we were.  Here are some of my favs.  Actually my favorites are the ones with him making faces but,  I feel she would shoot me if I did that.  Thanks guys for a great time.   I look forward to the wedding.  Enjoy!
