Lisa & Joe-Delaware Wedding Photographer

Lisa and Joe have a great family.  She has a daughter and he has a daughter and a son.  Together they make a wonderful family.  It became official on Friday.    The children were awesome during the whole ceremony.   You can tell a lot about parents by how their children behave and based on the hugs and kisses that went along with this wedding somebody is doing something very right.   It was a small ceremony with family and very close friends.  Everyone was full of well wishes.  Several of the guests came from all over the country just to share this day with  Lisa & Joe.    He's a teddy bear of a guy and she is certain that she's got her knight in shining armor.  I was so excited to be able to share their day with them.  Enjoy!

Something Fun

For those of you who may not know me,  I was a bit older when I was able to give my photography the time needed to make it what I wanted it to be.  Needless to say...I am still working on that part.  I have a full time job and am the mother of 5 daughters.  Two of them are married now and I have a little granddaughter  that I adore.  So,  with all that being said there is precious little time for me to put into learning things to improve on where I am at this point in my photography career.  What most people don't realize is that it's just like most other hobbies/professions and it takes a lot of hard work to keep up and to improve on things.  I read a lot and stay in the studio way to long at times.  But,  I am excited when the ole dog learns a new trick.  Here is something I was working on for a bit recently.  Enjoy!

Wrenn-Delaware Child Photographer

Since the sister next to Wrenn is almost 11 years older,  it's almost as if she is only child.  At nearly 40 when she was born,  I thought that God was playing funny tricks on me but,  she has been such a blessing ( they all have).  Today,  I did a typical me thing and some how managed to lock my keys in my car in the drive way....I know stupid huh?   To top it off my husband had just left and I had a shoot to go to.  UGGG!!  So I called and explained the situation and the mom totally understood.  My point being that sometimes when we think that something not so good has happened,  there may be something good to come of it.  I was busy working in the studio,  and Wrenn came over to chat with me.  I had taken her shopping with me the night before to get gifts for the boys birthday.  Now we can't shop without finding something for her it seems and against my better judgement and to her complete delight I agreed to let her get this outfit.  If there is anything bad about having an old mom it's that she just can't seem to change with the fashions like the younger ones can.  She was so excited to get this outfit and I have to admit that she does look pretty darn cute in it.  So back to my bad thing goes good deal.  Since I couldn't make it to my original shoot,  once my husband got back and let me into my car,  we had about an hour to play with until we lost light,  so off she and I went to document this great outfit for all time.  Here are just a few shots of the fun we had.  Enjoy!

Alisza-Delaware Senior Photographer

I have photographed a lot of seniors now and each one is so different. Elisza is very quiet and laid back,  but she is a natural at posing.  She seemed to just fall into place.  It was so easy to photograph her that I didn't feel like I was even doing my job.  All I really had to do was just snap away.  She even understood my directions that I did gave and sometimes I can be hard to understand.   Here are some of the ones we got.  Enjoy!

Tug Boat Delaware

I have always been interested in history and saving historical buildings etc. for a future generations to come.  I recently receive an email about something interesting and exciting coming soon to our area and thought I would do a post on it so that more of you will know about this great opportunity.  On September 15-16   from 2-4 the Bethel Heritage Museum will be holding tours on the Tug Boat Delaware.  The boat was built in the then booming little town of Bethel Delaware.  If you have ever passed through and taken notice there are some beautiful homes there that were once owned and built by ships captains.  The cost is only $2 per person with children under 10 free.   I think this is a wonderful chance to learn more about something we take for granted.   Hope lots of folks go out and take advantage.  Enjoy!

The general public is invited to tour this historic boat and the new exhibit

Genevieve & Chris- Delaware Wedding Photographer

This was an amazing wedding.  I met this couple when they first came to talk to me about photographing their wedding and I liked them right from the get go.  I thought they were adorable.  It was a wonderful day for the ceremony.  The rain held off until after the "I do's".  Her dress was unbelievable.  I had never seen one with a train so long! I understood why she needed all those bridesmaids ...to carry that train.  These are a few of my favorites.  Congratulations to both families.  Enjoy!

Sunflower Field-Delaware Child Photographer

They are ready.  I didn't think that my farmer friend had planted the sunflower field this year.  Darn!  But,  he sent me a note a couple of days ago to say that they are ready.  I know that it's been a dry summer here on Delmarva but,  not to worry he waters the field so they a beautiful.  If  a sunflower session is something that you've been wanting to do...I have a few session times available.  These are from last year but,  we are heading that way for a new shoot.  Hopefully,  I will be able to update.  The studio number is 410.726.6467.  Enjoy!

Alexis-Delaware Senior Photographer

You can't tell it from these images but,  this girl really likes softball.  While I was talking to her mom she told me that they had traveled all over for years to play softball.  She sure does clean up well.  The most important part of your senior session is the planning.  You have to plan out where you want to go for your session but,  most importantly you have to plan out your outfits.  Alexis planned to a T.  She planned everything from the jewelry, shoes and what would look best where.  It was so wonderful to a young lady so well pulled together.  Here are some of my favorites from her session.  Enjoy!

It's that time of year for senior photo sessions.  It's such an exciting time in their lives and a busy one at that.  There is so much to get into that last year of high school.  It all starts in the summer with senior photo sessions.  It's a time to show the real you and have some fun in the process.  Here are a few of my favorites from Amber's session. Enjoy!
