Fireman's Son-Maryland Newborn Photography

This baby boy's mama was so excited to have his newborn pictures done.  However,  he was somewhat less excited.  He didn't want to sleep or be bothered.  It goes that way sometimes.  He was just to big for his pants.  He was so good,   he just didn't want to sleep.  We did get a few of him.  You would have thought he was much older then a week old the way he could hold himself up.  Enjoy!

Duck, Duck, Goose-Delaware Newborn Photography

Another sweet little guy to photograph.  They just keep coming.  One is just as sweet as the other.  This one was so good for his session.  He slept nearly the entire time.  I was so excited.  It was all I could do not to laugh out loud when he would get this adorable grin on his face.  I truly could have photographed him for hours.  Thanks to mom and dad for bringing me this sweet little thing.  Can't wait to watch him grow.  Enjoy!

Time Away-Delaware Photography

For the past two years,  my husband and I have tried to go away for our anniversary.  Last year was the first time in our nearly 30 years of marriage that we went away alone.  Having 5 children means there isn't much alone time and not great funds in the get away pot.  I love antiques and beautiful old houses.  My grandmother collected antiques nearly all of her life and had a large old farm houses with high ceiling and squeaky floors.  Now,  to some,  that may sound awful but,  to me it brings back great memories.  I adored my grandmother.  So much in fact that I named my first daughter after her and when we finally were able to build our home,  I tired to make as much like hers as I could (it didn't work well but,  I tired).  So when we started to take these little get aways I wanted to stay in bed and breakfasts (my oldest and I had stayed in them on our trip to Ireland).    We ventured this  time to a small town named Taneytown Maryland.  We stayed in a place called The Antrim 1844.  Wow.  I can't even find the words to explain this lovely place so of course I had my camera so I will let my images speak for me.  If you even like this type of thing,  I highly highly highly recommend a trip here.  It's only about a two and half hour trip from lower Delaware and so well worth it.  The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing.  The staff amazing and the food,  like no other I have had.  You have to experience it for yourself to understand.  Here are some of the images from our little get away.  Enjoy!

Jen & Kerry-Delaware Wedding Photography

Jen and Kerry were married last weekend.  It was a beautiful day,  which has been rare recently.  Kerry is a race car driver,  so they had to have their ceremony before race season started.  My husband is a huge fan of the races so he totally understood why they couldn't miss a Saturday night race for even a wedding.  Jen was a little worried that we would have a day like so many recently and it would be either snowing,  blowing, or raining.  I knew it would be great...she was such an organized bride that I just knew she had an "in" with mother nature and they had talked things out ahead of time.  I was almost a little sad to see the big day come because I have grown to adore her and will miss our chats but,  that's how it goes with wedding photography.  Hopefully,  they will need me again as they add to the King family.  I wish them and their families all of the best.  They were a pleasure to work with and to get to know (in some cases to get reacquainted with).  Here are a few of my favorites.  There were so many.  Enjoy!!

Sweet Baby B-Delaware Newborn Photography

Finally,  a baby girl to photograph.  It's seems that I have only had little men here lately.  When this sweet little thing came I was ready to use some girly props.  Check out that dimple in her chin and a head full of hair.   She was a good girl during her session.  I wanted to get up a little look before her daddy heads back to California.  He's stationed out there.  Here's a few favorites.  Enjoy!

Liam's Turning Two-Delaware Child Photography

Sometimes it takes a while to warm up.  This Winter/Spring has been evidence of that.  Well this little guy was a little like winter is during his session.  He would warm up to me and then a cold blast.  We did that for the first half of his session. Finally,  he stayed warm and oh how good the glow of his smile felt.  If the sweet bow mouth and button nose don't get you,  then those eyes surely will.  So glad we kept trying ...what a cutie.  Happy Two Years!!  Enjoy!

"Caught One!"-Delaware Newborn/Child Photography

I could write a short story about this little man and his family.  I have known his grandmother for ever...really.  We went to kindergarden together and were friends all through school.  She was actually with me when I first met my husband.  Now it was suppose to be this little guys newborn session but,  he is already several weeks old.  A session can go either way when babies are over a couple of weeks old but,  I have had some great success with babies past the "newborn" photography age.  It did take a little bit of time to get him to sleep for us but,  while his mommy was working on getting  him to take a nap,  his big sister was an adorable substitute.  She is the sweetest little thing and those eyes!!  Here are a selection from their session.  Enjoy!
