Hannah's Bridal Shower-Maryland Event Photography

With Hannah & Cody's wedding just about a month away,  we are having a blast doing all the "girls" stuff.  Her sisters recently had a bridal shower for her at Poplar Hill Mansion in Salisbury Maryland.  The mansion is a wonderful place to hold events.  Sarah,  the mansions curator,  was such a huge help with everything.  We had such a wonderful day,  good food catered by Marilyn Hastings Catering,  lots of fun and laughing.  Here are some favorites from our day.  Enjoy!!

Shelby Hurley Mar-Del Watermelon Queen 2014

Each year, in February, the Hyatt in Cambridge Maryland is the site for the Mar-Del watermelon convention.  It's an educational weekend for farmers when they meet with seed salesmen,  pallet suppliers,  bin reps, and Agriculture reps from Delaware and Maryland,  to get the latest tips and tricks on growing those yummy Mar-Del watermelons we love to eat during the summer.  Now while the farmers are learning and sharing news,  there are usually a handful of beautiful,  intelligent young women vying for the role of the next Mar-Del Watermelon Queen.  This year was a very difficult year,  in my opinion.  Each one of the contestants had something wonderful to offer and each one was different.  I certainly would not have wanted to be a judge.  When all was said and done,  Miss Shelby Hurley was crowned queen.  We recently got together for her promotional shoot.  Here are just a few from her session.  Be on the look out for Shelby this summer. Chelsey Procino 2013 Mar-Del Watermelon Queen-Delawre Event Photography

For the past 4 years,  I have had the honor of photographing the Mar-Del watermelon queens.  This years queen is Chelsey Procino.   I recently spent some time with Chelsey and her coordinator to photograph her in  a local watermelon field.  Chelsey will represent the Maryland and Delaware Watermelon growers in the annual National Watermelon competition this winter.  She's a gorgeous young lady from Sussex county Delaware who attends college and travels all over the Maryland and Delaware area promoting the product.   Hopefully,  you have had the opportunity to see her out and about at one of the promotions.  Here are a few from our session.  Enjoy!

Allison-Sweet 16

Every girl should be so LUCKY!   Allison got a special surprise today.  Her family has been planning her sweet 16 party for months.  First, she had a limo pick her up and make several stops to pick up some of besties!   After gathering everyone together the group headed to their final stop which was Chick Berry Farms (the main party place around here) where extended family and friends were waiting to wish her well.  I think she was a little caught off guard!   Nothing tops off good friends and family like great food.   There was plenty of that too.  Pam Whaley and Kim supplied lots of yummy stuff to eat.  And of course there were the adorable cakes.  Since Allison is a big fan of both watermelon and flip flops she had both.  Last but not least....Mom and Dad are both members of the fire department so there had to be fire hats....pink please!  Great fun!  Enjoy!
