Last weekend in a wonderful B&B just outside of historic Georgetown,  Jen & Michael made their wedding a charming event.  The home is historical itself and has amazing grounds.  From the beautiful backyard oasis,  where the couple side "We do!"  to the great front yard that was perfect for some group and family shots.  The bride and her family worked side by side to add their own special touch to their  outside venue.  Their reception was held in a large tent just beyond where the ceremony took place.  The bridal suite,  where the girls got ready was large enough for the girls to all move around and for me to take pictures.  I say this because that doesn't always happen.  Jen said she fell in love with it the first time she saw it and I felt the same way.  It was something different and that was exactly what Jen and her mother were looking for.  It turned out the be an extremely warm day to say the least and, while I was melting running around trying to capture everything,  it was nothing compared to the fact that the groom, Michael,  was in his dress blues!!  I was smothering just looking at him.  It didn't seem to bother him at all.  Considering that he has served our country in much hotter circumstances,  made wearing that uniform something to be proud of even on such a warm day.  At one point he and his grandfather ( who also served as a Marine)  saluted one another and thought I would lose it then and there.  Such a wonderful thing to see...tradition passed on from one generation to another.  But,  as you will see from the images,  it wasn't all seriousness going on.  The bridal party had a little too much fun with some of the props and the bride and groom had way to much fun with their cake.  Here is just a sneak peek of their great day.  Enjoy!
